We've been through many periods of different architectural styles throughout our history and often even see revivals of old styles, aswell as blends of various styles, influences from one style affecting another, and old, enduring buildings which still bring their old styles into the modern day. This makes any major town or city an eclectic mixture of styles, and there is no doubt that design will continue to evolve.
